Buttery Drop Biscuits
These flakey and buttery drop biscuits are the perfect compliment to any breakfast and are so divine!
Ingredients
- 2 cups AP flour
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup plant milk
- 1 tbsp. white vinegar
- 1 stick / 1/2 cup vegan butter, frozen
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Prepare your 'buttermilk' by combining the plant milk and vinegar in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Cut the frozen vegan butter into the flour mixture with a pastry cutter or knives until the mixture resembles cornmeal with small peas of butter.
- Stream in the 'buttermilk' and mix just to combine.
- Scoop the dough onto a tray and bake for about 15- 22 minutes or until golden on the bottom and firm.
- Remove from the oven and optionally brush with a little more melted vegan butter and sprinkle with flaky salt.
- Serve immediately with your favorite breakfast foods or use the biscuit to make a breakfast sandwich!
